Engage is a membership organisation representing gallery, art and education professionals in the UK and in 15 countries worldwide. engage is currently seeking a Treasurer with financial, governance and fundraising experience and expertise who would value the opportunity to gain experience of contributing significantly to the development of a leading arts education organisation.

Engage promotes access to, enjoyment and understanding of the visual arts through gallery education. The Engage Board meets four times per year and there are occasional sub-committee and working group meetings. Most board meetings are held in London during the day.

Engage is committed to the principles of equality and diversity within its governance and practice.

Treasurer

The role of the Treasurer is to maintain an overview of the organisation's affairs and ensure its financial viability in line with good practice and in accordance with the governing document and legal requirements. The Treasurer will ensure that proper financial records and procedures are maintained and report regularly to the board on the above. We seek a CCAB qualified accountant (or equivalent) with enthusiasm for and commitment to visual arts education.

Experience in the charity/not for profit sector is essential.

The role is unremunerated, but expenses will be reimbursed. Assistance will be provided to enable suitable candidates to serve.
