Carolina Silva

Carolina Silva is the Curator: Community Programme at Whitechapel Gallery. She holds a PhD in Education from Goldsmiths, University of London, with a thesis on long-term programmes for young people in contemporary art museums. She is interested in collaborative art and pedagogical practices, participatory research methodologies in museums and social justice art education. With a background in Visual Arts (BA) and Art Education (MA) she has published on the topic of art museum education and is co-author of the book Encounters with art: Aesthetic experience and meaning making (2013).
