Helen O’Donoghue

Helen O’ Donoghue has been Senior Curator, Head of Engagement & Learning Programmes, Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA), since 1991 where she has developed the programme from the inception of the museum. Currently working with five curatorial staff, they have devised initiatives for both formal and informal learning for all ages engaging with all aspects of the museum. O’Donoghue has presented papers and published widely for museum conferences and publications. Including most recently ‘Art, Artists and the Public’ in Art Education and Contemporary Culture, editor Gary Granville, Intellect (2012); ‘Education in the Visual Arts and Participatory Arts’ in Art and Architecture of Ireland/Volume V, RIA/Yale (2014) and an article in collaboration with artist Marie Brett ‘No it’s not me… that’s not me… on mediating E.gress’ for the Engage Journal issue 39: Visual Arts and Wellbeing (2017): http://www.engage.org/journal (Updated 2018)
