Vicky Sturrs

Vicky Sturrs is Schools and Colleges Programmer at BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art and has been in post since January 2013. She manages the planning, programming and delivery of the schools, colleges and teachers programme at BALTIC; this includes tours, talks, workshops, talent development opportunities for young people and larger-scale events as well as teachers networks and CPD opportunities. She also delivers on both the MA Fine Art and Education and MA Professional Practice Award courses delivered in partnership with Northumbria University. Before BALTIC, Vicky held the Education Officer post at mima, Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art, for 4 years and completed her Masters in Art Museum and Gallery Education at Newcastle University. Vicky currently advises on the All Party Parliamentary Group for Art Craft and Design, Northumbria University’s PGCE Programme Committee for Secondary Art Craft and Design and the Employer Panel for Redevelopment of BTEC Nationals 2016. She is also a Governor at Appletree Gardens First School, North Tyneside. (Updated 2014)
