Come and See: Sharing best practice engaging LGBT+ communities

Wednesday 8th March 2017, Aberystwyth Arts Centre 10.30am – 4.00pm

We're pleased to present our latest engage Cymru CPD day, Come and See. If you want to broaden your knowledge of engaging with LGBT+ audiences, learn more about best practices and hear our speakers talk about the incredible history of the battle for LGBT+ equality, you'll find this day invaluable.

Be inspired by organisations and individuals whose work is focusing on equality for LGBT+ people from across the UK. This includes ‘Never Going Underground’ at the People’s History Museum, which tracks the fight for equality from 1967 to the present day; Tonia Lu, the producer of Elements Festival, celebrating age, diversity, creativity and enjoyment and encouraging locally-based artists and organisations to explore new ways of developing and producing work, and artist Colin Tennant sharing his Here Today touring exhibition documenting the lives of older gay people in Cumbria.

Mark Williams, Project Facilitator of Iris yn y Gymuned - Iris in the Community, will present a brief Powerpoint together with screening a short film from projects that have taken place across Wales to promote equality and diversity alongside community cohesion.
