Watch this Space is a funded professional development programme for galleries, teachers, artists and gallery educators in England. It enables them to gain first-hand experience of each other's work to initiate, build and sustain relationships that introduce school students to contemporary art in galleries.

Watch this Space 7 has a focus on: the new Key Stage 3 curriculum; the Creative and Media diplomas and work-related learning; cross-curricular working and citizenship; craft and design; working with Initial Teacher Trainees.

Ofsted commends Watch this Space

The Ofsted report 'Drawing Together' published in April 2009 describes Watch this Space as a 'very successful' contributor to professional development for teachers. It says: 'Impressive work was seen where, as a result of this programme, close partnerships had been established between teachers and gallery educators.'
The report evaluates the strengths and weaknesses of art, craft and design in a sample of primary and secondary schools. It focuses on the readiness of pupils and teachers to respond to widening cultural opportunities and increased flexibility in the curriculum.
