Alec Leggat is Associate Director of Red Pencil, a London-based consultancy providing communications, marketing and fundraising services for not for profit organisations. Over the last 30 years he has worked as a photographer, photo gallery director, lecturer in higher education, gallery education officer, programme manager for an anti child trafficking project and in various fundraising positions in NGOs and local charities in London. As a fundraising consultant he has helped many arts organisations, health charities and human rights NGOs to plan and deliver their fundraising strategies. He writes occasionally on the connections between photography and broadcast media and the not for profit sector. Alec is a mentor on the Small Charities Coalition’s mentoring scheme.
