Ceri Jones

From 200–2018, Dr Ceri Jones worked for the Research Centre for Museums and Galleries, based in the School of Museum Studies. Taken on as a Research Assistant to help with the testing of the Generic Learning Outcomes (GLOs), Ceri eventually worked on a range of exciting and forward-thinking research projects around museum and gallery learning, the representation and agency of disabled people, the social role of museums, and, just before she left, supporting older people to ‘encounter the unexpected’ in North West museums with significant collections of natural history. At the moment, Ceri is taking a career break to look after her children but is keeping involved in research through occasional freelance work.
