Simon Woolham

Simon Woolham studied at Chelsea College of Art, graduating with an M.A. in 2000. His work has been shown both nationally and internationally. Solo shows have included Hanging Out at The Lamppost, The Lowry Gallery, Manchester (2004), The Plan-chest Show, The Floating IP Gallery, Manchester (2004) and Simon Woolham, Hoxton Distillery Gallery, London (2001). He has also taken part in group shows: emergency 05, Aspex Gallery, Portsmouth (2005), Perspectives, Belfast (2005), Jerusalem, Dean Clough Galleries (2006) and Paper Cuts, Bury St Edmunds Gallery (2006), amongst others. Commissions and residencies have included The Lowry Gallery, Manchester, The Floating IP Gallery, Manchester, the V&A, London and the collaborative BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art and Creative Partnerships residency at Broadway Junior School, Sunderland, Tyne & Wear. Woolham was awarded Becks Futures student prize, ICA (2000), the Pizza Express drawing prize (2003) and the Oriel Mostyn11Prize (2001).
