About This Workshop

Ensuring accessibility is a vital part of delivering inclusive programmes. To deliver programmes that are accessible for all, you will need to consider:

- How content is presented for your audiences

- How your audiences can express themselves in the context of your programme.

- How to engage your audiences’ interests, present them with new ideas in effective ways and support their motivation to learn.

You can limit the barriers people face in learning experiences by following well-established principles based on research about disability and access. This workshop provides a hands-on, practical introduction to developing and evaluating universally accessible learning experiences. The workshop covers the following topics:

- Introduction to principles of universal design for learning

- Making digital learning experience accessible

- Hands-on workshop on learning accessibility – accounting for - Introduction to evaluating learning accessibility

- Evaluating special programmes designed for disabled audiences

This workshop will help you prepare your programmes for the diverse learning needs of different audiences, and evaluate whether your programmes are experienced as accessible by participants.
