The Culture, Health & Wellbeing Alliance are excited to announce that this year’s national Culture, Health & Wellbeing Alliance conference will be held on Thursday 19 and Friday 20 March 2020 at Derby Museum. Our theme will be Care: care for one another (participants, practitioners, commissioners); care for the environment; and caring economies.
Confirmed panellists include Lord Howarth of Newport (president of the Culture, Health & Wellbeing Alliance), Esme Ward (Manchester Museums), Ian Solomon-Kawall (May Project Gardens) and Thanh Sinden (Museum Detox). We’re thrilled that Baby People’s Melisma Choir will be performing on day 1 with more performances to come.
Responding to feedback from the CHWA2019, we are planning a different kind of conference experience. The programme will feature interactive panels, rather than keynotes, and opportunities for delegates to engage in conversations around the key themes and concerns that are impacting our daily work, the sector and society as a whole.
This year we are also hosting our first CHWA awards.
The awards will focus on Climate, Collective Power and Practising Well. Working with our award partners, we aim to showcase good practice and people who are leading the way in creating a culture of care for each other, their communities and the world.
We are offering limited Early Bird Tickets on two-day tickets until 5pm on January 31, 2020
Ticket sales will close on 6 March 2020.
Maximum capacity for the conference: 200 delegates per day, including staff and speakers.
Unfortunately, we are unable to refund or cancel tickets once purchased.
Bursaries and Free Spaces
We are hoping to secure funding for free spaces, particularly targeting people with lived experience of the impacts of culture and health and freelance creative practitioners in the East Midlands.
