About the Children’s Art Week Activity Cards
In 2017 Turner Contemporary, Engage, and the Young Art Leaders of Palm Bay Primary created fantastic new Children’s Art Week activity cards to help you make the most of your gallery visit, whether you are visiting a school or community group, or family and friends.
The ‘Inside Outside’ cards explore Looking, Discussing, Making and Exhibiting. With activities for individuals, pairs and groups, follow on ideas for the classroom or at home, and useful resources to explore online, these are designed to help you make the most of your visit to any Children’s Art Week setting, particularly if you are a teacher, educator, parent or carer.
We would love to see how you and the children and young people you are responding to your Children’s Art Week experience; why not upload photos of your own art and displays with the hashtag #ChildrensArtWeek on Instagram?
Children’s Art Week is run by Engage, the National Association for Gallery Education and supported in 2020 by Arts Council England, Creative Scotland, Arts Council of Wales, The D’Oyly Carte Charitable Trust and Garfield Weston Foundation.
This event is open to the public.
