Explore ‘Super Nature’ using all your senses!
Follow the link to our website and click on the three images of sculptures by artists Peter Randall-Page, Jonathan Trayte and Barry Flanagan, to find related sensory activities, films and ideas created by artist educators Emma Kerr and Becky Churchill. The activities are ideal for SEN, PMLD and Early Years children, though all ages and abilities are encouraged to participate!
The Multi Sensory Art Project (MSAP) is a collaboration between The Roche Court Educational Trust and Larkrise School, Trowbridge, to provide creative, sensory experiences for children with profound and multiple learning disabilities. The project aims to remove barriers and make contemporary art accessible to those who are least likely to experience it.
In 2020, whilst we have been unable to engage with children and participants face to face, we seized the opportunity to share a host of sensory offerings digitally with children and families, online. This year, the theme is Super Nature! The complete collection of resources are available to access on our website. All of these ‘digital tasters’ of the project are inspired by sculptures at the New Art Centre in Wiltshire, where we are based.
