Royal Holloway Festival of History

This free day out brings to life the struggle for liberty and democracy over the last 800 years in a family-friendly spectacular. The day will feature an exciting programme of talks, performances, live music, historical re-enactments and children’s activities. Refreshments will be available throughout the day.

Stop off at our famous Picture Gallery to discover the treasures of our art collection. Join in our children’s craft activities and make something to take home, design your own coat of arms, try one of our interactive art trails, suitable for all ages, and watch our pictures come to life in an Art Alive performance – artist Sir John Everett Millais (played by award-winning story-teller Anna Conomos) has travelled through time to tell us all about his painting of the Princes in the Tower!

This event is open to the public.
