Conversation four

Adaptation and innovation: new and changing approaches to cocreation

Thursday 10 February 2022, 12:30 – 3:30pm

Our final conversation considers the future of co-creation against the backdrop of global social, cultural, and political unrest. How has the pandemic shifted perceptions of why we create with others? What do artists need to maintain a livelihood and be supported to engage in collaborative relationships? Our contributors will share their predictions and provocations on what the future holds for co-creative visual arts, and the role this practice might play in tackling inequality and injustice.

Chair: Irini Papadimitriou, Creative Director, FutureEverything
Contributors: Susanne Burns, Independent Arts and Cultural Sector Management Consultant and Researcher, Sarah Derrick, Head of Learning at Dundee Contemporary Arts, and whatsthebigmistry, Priya Mistry, multidisciplinary artist, socially engaged worker and creative producer.
