About this issue:

This issue of the journal came from two sources. One was a wish to explore in more depth questions which have hovered over the enquire programme: What do artists have to offer young people in projects brokered by galleries or other art organisations? Which artists choose this sort of work, and how does it relate to the rest of their practice? What kind of mediation is required in different contexts? This dovetailed with the desire of Emily Pringle and Vivienne Reiss, longstanding researchers in this area, to extend their enquiry.
