Upcoming Seminar: Learning in the Gallery

Photo: Workshop with Lawrence Bradby and Georgie Manly as part of Sainsbury Centre Artists’ Programme

Sainsbury Centre for Visual Art, Norwich
Friday 27 April, 10:30am - 4pm
Free but booking essential

What do gallery educators do on a day to day basis? What kind of audiences do they work with? What methodologies do they use to ensure that people have inspiring learning experiences through art? We're delighted to have partnered with the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Art to put on a day of workshops and talks that will provide practical advice and guidance to anyone thinking about a career in arts education.

We will explore approaches and methodologies, and situate the field within historical contexts, in relation to art practice, institutional developments and social and political agendas.

Participants will have the opportunity to meet with gallery educators and artists, take part in practical activities, meet peers and find out more about professional development opportunities.
