Handle with Care: exploring The Turnpike Pottery, 2018 ARMA Commission

Tuesday 9 October 2018, 12.30 - 3pm
The Turnpike, Civic Square, Leigh WN7 1EB

Join Engage NW Area Reps for a session exploring the 2018 Alexandra Reinhardt Memorial Award, where commissioned artist Lindsey Mendick has been working with young people from Wigan to create The Turnpike Pottery. A sandwich lunch, hot and cold drinks will be included.

Meeting outline:
12.30-1pm: Arrivals and lunch
1-1.30pm: Explore The Turnpike Pottery Exhibition
1.30-2pm: Presentation from Hannah Gaunt, Learning and Engagement Coordinator at The Turnpike
2-3.30pm: Clay workshop and informal networking

Travel info
Leigh is located just outside of Wigan, and accessible by car and bus. The Turnpike is 5 minutes walk from the Leigh bus terminal. Inexpensive parking is available in the 'Town Hall Car Park' adjacent to the gallery.

The Turnpike is situated on the first floor of Leigh Library, and accessible by a lift. Please let us know if you have any other access requirements.
