West Midlands Area Group Meeting
Monday 3 December 2018, 1 - 3.30pm
STEAMhouse, 108 Digbeth, Birmingham, B5 6DT
Location: https://www.steamhouse.org.uk/get-in-touch/

A networking and workshop session based on feedback from the last two West Midlands area meetings, focusing on digital engagement methods.
We will hear from our host Steamhouse about their maker space and support of arts and innovation. Steamhouse aims to unite talented people from different backgrounds in the arts, science, technology, engineering and maths – the STEAM sectors – to bring amazing new ideas to life. There will be an opportunity to have a tour of the facilities at the end of the session.

The workshop, will be led by ‘Let’s Animate’ Gemma, focusing on Lego, Claymation and cut out animation, showcasing how animation can be used to bring exhibitions and objects to life.  Gemma will also run through basic animation techniques which can be used by using apps and iphones to enable you to run basic animation inhouse. Tea and coffee will be provided.
