Access the Engage journal

The Engage journal is published twice a year by Engage, the National Association for Gallery Education.

Engage members and existing subscribers may access the journal by logging into their account. For existing subscribers who have not logged into the new Engage, access your account by following this link and request a password reset.

Engage members have access to two issues of the Engage journal per year as well as a host of other benefits, including electronic access to the Engage Journal archive.

Journal format: online and print

The Engage journal is available online from issue 28 onwards as either a PDF or online publication. Access to the online issue includes an option to order a printed copy from for issues 28–4 (at a small extra cost) as well as options to download a PDF, print text-only or read on-screen.

Please note that journals up to and including issue 27 are only available online as PDFs. Many issues can be purchased in hard copy. You can download a list and order here or email for more details.


Libraries (ie. organisations where 10+ people will be accessing the journal) can subscribe to the Engage journal by purchasing a Library subscription below or by contacting with a completed order form to request an invoice (organisations only) or pay via cheque.

Each institution will be given one username and password, which should be used to access the issues they have subscribed to.

The price for a library subscription is £100 (two issues) per annum. Please note that Engage does not charge VAT.

Your institution will be invoiced every two issues on a rolling basis.

Organisations and individuals may also become a member of Engage in order to access the journal.

Single issues

You may purchase access to a single issue of the online journal by purchasing a Single Issue Subscription below at a cost of:

Individuals: £10
Organisations: £25
Libraries: £50
